Re: Heavy duty FnR doesn't fit!!!
BTW, the only inefficient part of the transaction with PQ was Robby (PQ) and Jim (Logisystems) trying to give the other one the sale. I was fully willing to pay extra to go through PQ to preserve there business relationship and the advise both had given. Robby insisted I go directly through Jim for a better deal. Sounds like someone I want to do business with. Think about it.

That looked like the old controller and solenoid.

I still appreciate ALL the help you have given me Scotty! Just think that was a lousy response.

Re: Heavy duty FnR doesn't fit!!!
I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way. I love this forum and the advise I get. This is a hobby for me and something I do to unwind from my job. I guess I have to realize, this is a job for you... not a hobby and me asking for advise when I chose to purchase from someone else seems like an insult. Not sure how to avoid that. My apologies.

Re: Heavy duty FnR doesn't fit!!!
Not really an insult, but certainly something that does get abused at times and yes this is a hobby out of control for me.... I'm on step 4 = denial.
I do let my sense of humor get away from me now and again, but that's just me. I love to laugh & I quit apologizing for it long ago. |

There are a lot of things lost in text. (Tone being the major one.) One of the down sides to new ways of networking. My apologies.

Re: Heavy duty FnR doesn't fit!!!
Mine too, now it seems Boke already put forth a good idea about the 36v CC F&R or you could go remote as the original Series Switch had been or you could go with the reversing contactor ?

Re: Heavy duty FnR doesn't fit!!!
Every DCS I have converted I went with the twin 6 pole solenoids and a F&R Rocker from a PDS cart mounted in the dash.... It's far easier than trying to line up all the linkage for the remote setup. I know everyone has been discussing the reversing contactors lately, but I still like the simplicity and durability of the twin 6 pole solenoids (even if it isn't as cost effective).
