08 precedent
I'm looking to get another cart . I looked at an 08 with new rear seat , 6" all sport lift , 22" grips and 12" rims . The batteries are about a year old and it has a factory copper colored body . The guy is asking 3,500 for it . Is that a fair price ? This will be my first club car , my other one was an ezgo .

Re: 08 precedent
As long as the batteries are strong and everything is in great shape then that is a fair price.

Re: 08 precedent
What is the battery setup? Does it have the four 12 volts or the six 8 volts?
The six 8 volt batteries would definitely be a plus! |

Re: 08 precedent
It all depends on what you use your cart for... You might want to consider the cost of converting to 8v batteries eventually. Longer run times vs 12v batteries. Since the cart is lifted and has oversized wheels I would do it... But wait till the 12v go bad..

Re: 08 precedent
If it's a 2008 it may not need a conversion. It may already have the battery bucket built to accommodate the 8 volts. Where are the controller and computer? Between the batteries or on a plate behind them?

Re: 08 precedent
You don't need a conversion kit. 8 Volt batteries will drop right in. You'll need to pick up two plastic battery hold downs for the 8 Volts and some wires. An OBC change would be a good idea due to the fact that the software in your current OBC is calibrated to charge 12 Volts, but still, WAY cheaper than having to do a conversion kit.
