Default 2003 CC DS IQ - Regen Question

Ok so i bought a 2003 CC DS IQ cart. I know the cart is sepex (regen) from the picture diagram someone posted (thanks). When i let off the throttle though I don't get any regen braking. It just coasts at full speed. The cart also seems pretty fast. Maybe 18 mph or so, just guessing. I looked at the motor and its a GE 3.2 hp so i believe its stock.

What could the previous owner have done to remove the regen braking? Also did whatever they did to remove the regen make it go faster? I bealive it could have been programmed for speed 4 but I don't see the sticker under the dash that should have been placed there by a CC dealer.

Help please, thanks fellas.

18mph would more than likely be speed code 4 on a stock IQ unit . . . some Curtis controllers can be wired to allow "freewheeling", essentially disabling the "plug braking" . . .

the area i live in is famous for its hills even though im in florida (San Antonio Fl) half of my 20 acres is on a long 300 yard hill. i gotten going pretty fast and no regen. i hear the motor or somehting making a noise when i start to go fast. like its spinng to fast maybe around 25mph. not sure if thats regen related. regen is def not kicking it at any speed.
