Default Slow in reverse

I have a 2001 CC DS series cart with all new upgrades: high torque motor H/D F/R , HD solonoid new batteries and 4guage cables. The only issue I have is that in reverse I need to press the pedal 1/2 way down to engage and then it is very slow. I am using the cart for off road and need the torque in reverse also. It has an MCOR throttle. Thanks for any suggestions.

What is very slow? Typically, reverse is wired up for 1/2 speed of forward . . .

Indeed and I did also notice you didnt mention a controller upgrade...making the draw in the half speed alot more with lifted cart and upgraded motor.

I don't know which controller you are using, but on my EZGO there is an orange lead on the controller for a half speed reverse. You can look up the diagram for your controller and see if yours has this connection. I just disconnected the orange lead on mine, as ( like you ), I need full power in reverse too!

Thanks, I upgraded with 650 axe programable controller. It is less than half speed, I am wondering why the accelerator needs to be depressed half way down down to activate. Wondering if it could a dead spot the mcor.

MCOR can't tell forward from reverse, so if forward is acting normal, I doubt it is an MCOR issue . . .
