I think 12's with 40 series tires would look good.

Wouldn't it depend on the side wall height of the tire? Are you saying a lo-pro tire for a 14 inch wheel always has shorter side wall height than a 12 inch wheel with a lo-pro tire. If a 14 inch wheel with a lo-pro resulted in the same height as a 12 wheel with a lo-pro, you would be able to get the 14inch version on the cart without lifting it, but that's not the case. Right?

What Boke is saying,is that if a tire is 20.5" tall, its' 20.5" tall,no matter what the rim-diameter.Only the sidewall height will change(smaller with a larger wheel).

Depends on the tire, not the wheel. The wheel only carries the tire, the tire determines the overall rolling stock diameter that must be dealt with. Typical golf cart tires are 18.5" tall. most 10-12-14" lo-pro tires come very close to this stock height and would not need a lift at all. Once again, it depends on the tire.

That's what I was saying, it would depend on the side wall height of the tire.

One concern is rubbing, and that depends on offset and lift.
Another, i have found my stock tires and wheels about 18, I found tires on ebay saying 19 but end up 18.5. So do your homework. In the end go with the tire heihjt you want and seek a rim that will fit.
