Default Looking for a series cart

I saw the threads how to identify what the cart has however I'm looking to buy a series cart and would like to lower the odds of finding a regen. Is there a specific year range and model series motor is more popular in? For example a1992 -1996 ezgo txt? I looked at a 1996 ezgo but it was a dcs with tow/run switch so I'm sure it's a regen. Thanks for any help. Can be a club car too just long as its a series. Thanks

Welcome to BGW!

Pre-1995 TXT or Medalist. (The DCS came out in 1995 and was replaced by the PDS came 2000.)

Added for clarification: EZGO carts with series motors have been made from day one to present. They just didn't make them with Sepex motors before1995.

I added a some clarification to my original post.

In a nutshell, if it is prior to 1995, it has a series motor.
From 1995 on, it might have a sepex motor, so you have to check which type drive system to be sure.
If it has a Run/Tow switch, it has a sepex motor.
