Throttle spring disappeared
Hi: I have a 2007 XRT 810 gas Club Car. It was running rough again so I took out the carburetor and cleaned it but while putting it back the throttle return spring completely disappeared while I was trying to reinstall it. Theoretically I guess it could have fallen through the intake into the cylinder but don't see it but more likely it fell onto what looks to be a shield plate under the engine that protect the engine from impacts. It's difficult to see or even get fingers between that plate and the engine above it.
So, can I remove that plate without the engine falling out. Also, where are the safe places to put a jack to pick up the back, front or sides of the cart to scoot under it or maybe tilt it enough that the spring rolls out. Thanks |
