G9 won't run...
Hi all, I bought a g9 cart from an estate sale. It wouldn't run when I got it home and knew nothing about its history. I found that the carb spacer was broken allowing it to suck air, so I replaced it. I had it run briefly on carb cleaner then it stopped. I have good spark, seems good compression and gas from the fuel line when turning over. I took the carb of and cleaned it. I am stumped. Now it won't fire on gas or cleaner. I'm stumped. It leads me to think compression but if I remember, the tester was hitting about 45# when turning over...not sure what spec is.

Re: G9 won't run...
Just did more searching and found that the compression is likely low. I am going to retest but other than that I'll pull the jug and see what it looks like.

Cant "pull the jug" on a 4-stroke yamaha. You should pull the valve cover to see if a pushrod is perhaps loose/out of position.
