Default Safe to space out a wheel hub?

Is there anyone opposed to putting a few washer behind the wheel hub (then using loktite on the hub bolt) and the wheel studs so they don't rub? It did not say anywhere before purchasing that I NEeDED offset wheels. Of course the in box Instructions told me I HAD to buy offset wheels with the Jake's spindle lift. Has anyone had any horror stories in doing it this way? I dont want to spend money on wheel spacers or wheels if I don't have to... but I also don't want my wheels falling off?

You need two threads sticking out past the lig nuts and you should be ok. That has always been a rule of thumb I've been told.

Keep in mind that flat washers can have a lot of variance in their thickness and if not carefully measured you could cause your wheel to bend/crack and wobble.

And all spacers are not made the same...go for quality...plus if you hit a curb the spacer becomes the weak link.

I ended up going with a summit brand 1" wheel spacer. Figured id prefer knowing I was safe. I gotta say tho, I'm not too pleased with the turning radius on the Jake's spindle kit
