Default 2007 Drive motor work in a 1997 G16 cart?

I've searched but couldn't find exactly. Will a motor from a 2007 Drive be a direct swap for a 1997 G16? If not, what is the difference?

Thanks in advance..

You will need the carb from the 07 motor on the 07 motor. Might need to modify the single blue wire from the oil level sensor plug, it will be really simple. Keep & use your current clutches together, it's not a good idea to mix--match clutch designs as different belts were used.
