need lift advice
I have a G16 which I will use primarily for golf, but I also want to add a back seat to take grandkids on rides around the neighborhood. No off-roading or back country exploring. I want to install 10" wheels and 20" golf-type tires. My question is: what is the smallest amount of lift which will make this work, and how do I accomplish it? I don't really want to use one of the 6" lifts, and it is my understanding the 3" spindle lifts won't work for a G16. So, do I fabricate brackets or something like that to get the amount of lift I want? Are such brackets available anywhere?
Thanks everyone for any suggestions. Alan |

Re: need lift advice
I have a G14 which is pretty much the same, I bought the economy lift kit , 4in and it was under $100 and easy to install, I have the wheel and tire combo you are looking at and have plenty of room.

Re: need lift advice
How strong is that lift kit? Have you used it very long, and how well is it holding up? I'll install a back seat, so it needs to be pretty strong.
Thanks |

Re: need lift advice
10" wheels will fit stock height cart, 20" tires will be close, may not need a lift. Your stock tires are 18", 1" more per side. On the lift if you go that way, please remember you get what you pay for.

Re: need lift advice
I agree about getting what you pay for and am perfectly willing to pay a premium to get a better product. The problem, I think, is lack of options. Do I have any other choices for a small lift?
Do you think I can get away without a lift since I'll be doing a back seat? I just assumed I'd need one. Thanks again |

Re: need lift advice
Possibly just install spring spacers on the rear, that will give 1/2 inch lift

Re: need lift advice
sounds like a good idea, well worth a try. Which of our member vendors sells spring spacers?
Thanks Alan |

Re: need lift advice
Upper shock extensions or Jakes HD coil spring replacement should be all you need.
