Default Voltage Reduce Question

I have a 48 volt precedent and I have tried three different voltage reducers from two different manufacturers and all of them only reduce the voltage to around 19 or 20 volts. Has anyone ever had this issue before?

Did you measure this with or without a load applied? With no load at all applied the output will be high; IIRC the output on mine is somewhere around the same but with even a small load applied it drops down into range...

Most reducers don't reduce until they are put under a load. If I were you I would buy the club car voltage reducer for that car as it is the best one on the planet. Plug and play. Yes it costs more, but well worth it.

The one that draws accessory 12v from 2 of the 6/8v batteries? The best on the planet?

Does that one put more stress on the two batteries and not evenly across the entire battery pack? Is that a problem or is it nothing to worry about?

Yes.... Most knowledgeable people think that it is a problem; mainly when used heavily if rarely used then perhaps not...

The factory reducer on my 2014 CC draws from all 6 batteries. Not sure what year they started using the reducer instead of just the 2 batteries, but mine works very well.

The first reducer CC (used for about 10-12 yrs) converted 18v to 12v.
I'm curious what yr they changed to 48v to 12v.
