Nope, he needs his fixed sheave from his old primary clutch, or a different primary clutch. I have heard not if he has that & it's in serviceable condition.

Spicy.. I didn't order the new clutch, there is a guy about 30 minutes from me who has a place here in Ohio and a place in Florida down by the Villas close to Tampa. These clutches are all NEW take off, that get replaced with after market clutches for people who want a cart that will run 35 mph plus on the streets. He bought 500 clutches and has them on ebay and craigslist.. I saw a savings and went for it.

Move the engine or transaxle to straighten it out

We are looking for this part only, from your old clutch. Look for a wear ring at Blue arrow. Clean up rust. Might be ok. Removing the sliding portion is as easy as lifting it off the fixed portion.

cgtech thanks for all your help.. I will get a good picture tonight of the area with the blue arrow.. yeah I have had the 2 clutches apart already..suggestions on cleaning up the rust? How about a light blasting in a cabinet blaster, sand is pretty used up and doesn't seem to rough up the surface. Follow up with polishing in the lathe..

Wd40 & a green 3M scrubber pad is great. Just be sure to wash all the WD off.

cgtech here is the picture of my old fixed sheave..there is no noticeable wear mark..

And of course the new clutch is seated and will not come off..did I read somewhere that if you put grease in the end of the shaft and run the bolt in that will pop it loose from the tapered seat?

Take the sliding sheave/weight/spider off the new clutch and see if the splines match up with the old fixed sheave, I'm with GC 99% shure they will mate up. Now you need the fixed sheave puller tool!
