Default KF82 knock/ engine swap

So i have a flathead in a old club car and wondering whats more than likely going on. Did a bunch of research and seems like people say sometimes you can start to see a bulge back by the transmission? does anyone have any pics of this. Also how easy is it to swap it out with a different engine. Want something simple more than huge performance.

Well...I bought a new rod and put it back together, but I didn't bother to check the crank journal for out-of-round and it started knocking again pretty quick. I was about to send parts to a rebuilder (J&M Golf Carts) but I ended up finding a good running motor locally before I had to do that.

J&M quoted me about $250 for the repair. I was to send him my crank and a new connecting rod and he would machine them true to each other and return. This was back in 2013, so I imagine prices may have changed since then. If your only issue is the rod knock you may just get away with not having to replace anything else.

yeah when I got the cart it was really low compression so i put new piston and rings in and got the valves done. So it runs really well right now its just noisy. Trying to figure out what the best option is.
