Default Help with Medalist trouble shooting

I have what I believe is a 99 medalist (Man. Code G0995)

The solenoid clicks but it wont go. From another post I checked B- and M- on the controller. When the solenoid clicks I have pack voltage, as you push the pedal the voltage drops to .258 almost immediately then all the way to 0 when the pedal is to the floor. The post said the voltage should drop to 0 but didn’t say if it would start at pack voltage and drop slowly of if it should drop to the .280 then down to 0.

Last two digits of the Mfg code is the year, so it is a 1995.

Voltage between B- and M- ought to gradually drop to about 0V as pedal is slowly pushed, so something is amiss, but the motor ought to spin or something ought to smoke if the voltage is going all the way to 0V.

Let's see if the voltage is actually being applied to motor, or is dropping at the input. Connect your DVM between M- and B+. Now the voltage ought to start at 0V and smoothly climb to pack voltage as pedal is slowly pushed to floor.

What drive system do you have Series or DCS? If there is a Run.Tow switch on the controller cover, it is a DCS.

Series cart. No run tow switch. Should have checked cables better. Too lazy to crawl under cart this morning.

Be careful removing the bad cables. Use two wrenches so the studs don't turn.

When you get the cables fixed (all 13 or 14 of them) try the B- to M- again.

Couldn’t use 2 wrenches, insulator melted pretty good but all went well. No cont between studs and motor housing. Replaced cable end and all worked well. Didn’t take any more readings since it worked. I did this for a customer. This has been a trouble cart for a while. He is running all stock electronics on a cart with 25’’ tires. Won’t spend money to upgrade. Just throwing money at repairs.....

Ok motor terminal burnt up again.. This time I was able to convince customer to spend some money. My buddies at D&D got me a decent package. Motor controller and solenoid. Making all new 2 AWG wires. I think this should fix the problem...
