Hard to start hangs up on compression stroke

I've replaced belts and starter generator and battery. It's still struggling to get past compression stroke. Belts are tight. The new battery has 550 cca. Is the enough?

Have you checked the clearance on the valves?

No I have not adjusted the valves. I wouldn't know how too. If that's the problem I will have to take it to a shop. If i manually rotate the wheel back away from the compression stroke resistance and it has momentum when it hits it.... it starts right up

is the battery fully charged and holding a charge ??

if the valves are out of adjustment then may be too tight ?!

I highly doubt valves are your issue here... Check and clean all battery connections on battery and all on the starter generator was this happening before the new srtarter generator was added?

If it's an fe350 valves are not the source of the problem

Is it a club car starter? Or fleabay?
If it is a good starter I would go with the other suggestions of corroded, bad, loose connections.

After inspecting the wires to the starter... they dont look good. Im going to replace them and report back

Is your cart a pedal-start -or- a retro-keystart vehicle?

After cleaning all connections and retightening the belt.... it's starting better than before. However it still hesitates when it's cold (been sitting ) I can live with it now.
