Default Need more speed

2012 48 volt club car, serial number starts with PH. Just recently purchased and speed is toppling off at 12mph with stock tires. I want to get closer to 20mph, what options are out there? Just started learning about speed codes, is this something I can reprogram myself?

Nope, you have to have a curtis programmer like your dealer has.

Best alternative after initiating SP4 would be an XCT controller. An XCT48300 would be plug and play for your cart and give you 22/23 mph and all the user controlability associated with Alltrax. https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...roller-300-amp

Yes, just requires some further upgrading of other components... (solenoid, cables, etc.)

I recommend that you install a controller designed for a Club Car application.

The Curtis programmer pricey? Really I’d be happy getting up to 18-20 mph with minimal investment.

It is the same controller for EZ or CC as they were both 16 pin Curtis OEM's, you just set the different throttle application.

~$700 or so based on model and level.

Go to your local shop or dealer and get the SP4. They will need your serial # and ~$100-$125 to buy the code from CC and then program it in your cart. That will get you in the ball park of cost -vs- benefit. If you are in the Georgia area, go see David Hick at Revolution Golf Cars and he will do it for $80 I believe.
