FE290 Cranks, Runs but won't go with pressing accelerator

I have a freshly rebuilt FE290. It was running great yesterday, But I left the key in the on position over night.
When i got on, it

• The cart Cranks and Runs but will not go higher than a few hundred RPM's with pressing the gas pedal.
• If I lift the seat and move the throttle at the carb, No problem, It revs easily and sounds great.

I think it might be the thinga-ma-do-whopper on the rear diff.

Ideas?

sounds like a broke or unhooked cable.
if you can rev the carb at the carb, trace the cables make sure when you press the gas the cables move. could be broke inside the sleeve, so haev a buddy press gas while you look at each section of the cable. depending on year usually 2 or 3 cables between pedal and carb !!
