Shock Relocation Advice - Passenger Rear Shock - Motor Clearance
Anyone have any experience relocating the passenger rear shock? I found out that in order to fit the Navitas 5KW motor I would need to move the shock.
I'm not sure if a lift would accomplish this task or if I'm in for having a custom bracket fabricated. Any advice would be much appreciated. |

Re: Shock Relocation Advice - Passenger Rear Shock - Motor Clearance
Did you ever receive any answers to this question? I am about to drop the AC motor in my Medalist and the seller told me to just pitch the rear shocks as they don't increase ride comfort over the leaf springs anyway (crappy OEM shocks). I was curious if a lift kit would allow me to put some aftermarket coil-over shocks on though for a smoother ride, especially if I get the upgraded leaf springs recommended with the high torque motors (much stiffer ride with HD leaf springs).

Is that because it will hit the speed sensor? I thought I remembered seeing someone who just rotated the motor to get it to fit without needing to touch the shock on these forums, and it was rather recently too.
Edit: This is your second post on this topic. The answer was given in your previous thread. https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=166645 |
