1998 club car DS acceleration problems
I have a 1998 club car DS 48v cart . The batteries measure a total of 53.6 volts and dont drop at all when a load is put on them. The motor is a 3.2 hp motor and the controller is a 220 amp controller. It does have the rocker f/r toggle switch. When you drive the cart it will run until it almost gets up to full speed then power drops out. Let off the accelerator and you here the solenoid click after about 1-2 seconds. Mash the accelerator back down and it will go again for 5 to 10 seconds, then power drops out again. I tested the speed sensor by pushing the cart with it in run position and in neutral. If you put the cart in run position and push the cart it the buzzer beeps 3 times and does try to stop the cart after about 2-3 feet. Please help. I put this up before but I had the wrong year model and had not done any test at that time. Anyone know what my problem may be? Thanks in advance for everyones help.
