No, I meant the crossmember. However, the axle housing works too.

In regards to a FAQ, this is about all there is for the yamaha Gas carts. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-yamaha/

The search tool is helpful too of course.

Removing the body will be essential to lifting your cart or doing any major work on it. It's really pretty easy.

I'll be looking forward to seeing pics of your progress.

I'll work on taking the body off this weekend it appears; lots going on this week at home. Seems pretty straightforward, so no real problems anticipated. Round one will be clean-up of the cart undercarriage, change oil, gas filters, clean air filter, etc. and be ready for the first mods. Tune ups on these things should be pretty simple I would think. Are air filters readily available? I've seen tune-up kits for older carts, but not so much for the G22's; maybe I should have looked for a G16 after all. Definitely not a G29 Drive though.

The first modifications will be shocks, lights and rear seat. After that, we move into lifted/LT suspension and spacers on the rear with big block power down the road somewhere. I have an old Chevy 302 in the garage............

Can someone tell me if the Jakes 3" spindle lift kit is the same for the G22 and the G29. Someone has the one on there G22 for sale but I want to make sure it would work on my G29. Thanks
