Synthetic Oil causing Kawasaki Engine Ticking???
My Dad and I recently purchased a used 2009 Ezgo RXV with the 13 hp Kawasaki motor! What a powerful engine! Everyone knows that golf carts run hot so we decided to put Mobile 1 synthetic oil in it! Now it is ticking think it may be the valves or the lifters.
Could this be what is making it tick and if so can we change the synthetic out and put regular in and that fix it? Thanks! |

Re: Synthetic Oil causing Kawasaki Engine Ticking???
10W-30 for standard service 10W-40 if you really work it. I would drain and refill with the Ezgo recommended oil. If you do not know how many hours are on the cart it may be a good idea to check/adjust the valve lash as well.
