Default EZGO St4x4 Honda Vtwin Engine - No Spark Condition

Hey everyone:

Working on a EZ GO ST4x4 from our local park service. Came to us with some wires cut and a no start condition.

We reinstalled the wires to the key switching using the wire diagram from EZ GO, however are now stumped with the no spark condition (as verified with spark tester)

I've troublshot the system to either no spark to the coils, or to a bad voltage regulator (the box under the air cleaner).

I was curious to as if the red and yellow wire going to the coils needed 12v or if they were simply ground cut wires. I'm also unsure if they are coils at all, and if they are magneto's by chance (yet to remove red cover).

Any help would be appreciated, as at this point I don't want to start playing 'replace-a-part' without having a better idea of what is common to fail on these small engines. Thanks!

Upon furhter inspection it appears that this may be a stop engine diode related issue, will report back shortly

Well a few thing were found to be wrong with this buggy:

1. The fuel pump wasn't allowing fuel through it. Replaced pump, had fuel to engine now.
2. Stop Engine Diodes were not allow spark to occur

And then lastly:
3. The sensor on the carb fuel shutoff thingy was disconnected.

Once all issues were attended too,. the ST4x4 took off and has run well!
