Default Club Car auto charger won't stay on but about an hour

My charger is an automatic shutoff one. 36 volt club car. It won't charge my batteries but about an hour even if its been completely ran down. I thought my batteries were going bad, I was only getting like 9 holes a charge until I borrowed someone elses charger with a timer just to make sure that wasn't the problem because my batteries are not old. After using the friend's charger my cart went over 30 holes before it even started getting weak. I took it to a golf shop and they said it was working fine besides shutting off early and they couldn't explain why it was doing that and it may be the transfomer. they replaced a relay even though they said they didn't think anything was wrong with the relay. I was just really wandering if there was anyway to change an auto shutoff charger to one that would just stay on. Then I could put a timer on it to shutoff when I want. That would save me having to buy a new one. Because the only problem with the charger is that it won't stay on. It charges the correct amps and everything. I have even unplugged it and plugged it back up several times and this charges my batteries up because it starts the one hour or so charge over again. thanks.

There are tests that involve jumping the relay, which keeps the charger on. You can Google your charger for a manual, or there may be one in the stickys for Electric Club Car.

You may need a new circuit board in the charger? See if you can get it replaced reasonably or lay your hands on a replacement charger.... but do something fast before you damage your more expensive battery pack.

It is his charger. He borrowed his buddies charger and went 30 holes instead of 9. You should be able to find a used, good one for not much.
