Les,
I am quietly confident that new seals will make your cart run like never before. Dave |

Re: 1988 gas ezgo
received my seals today . Is there anything I need to mark for timing, does the pulser have a gap that needs setting? Sorry for all the questions I just want to do it right. I would just like to say thanks to everyone who has helped me out to this point. Les

Re: 1988 gas ezgo
The air gap is fixed but you should mark the position of the pulsar so you can return it the same position. Don't forget to lube the seal rubber with 2 stroke oil and use a little Loctite Blue bearing seal on the outer edge.

Re: 1988 gas ezgo
Hello again . Before I started replacing the seals I set the starter back on to see what my compression was after a new top end but before replacing the seals it was 98lbs . hope it gets better with seals.

Re: 1988 gas ezgo
While I have the engine out I might as well adress another problem. I have replaced the drive and the driven clutch and belt about a year ago. If I stop a the base of a hill it will try to go but just seems to growl, when moving along and I turn up a grade sometimes will climb and sometimes not. Ordered the belt for an 88 but need to know what belt I need or should get. Thanks Les

Re: 1988 gas ezgo
A little more to add the belt I ordered is the one I was running 1-3/16"x45-1/2". I have read in these forums that going 1" smaller gives you more power to pull hills or thimgs. Is there any truth to this?

Re: 1988 gas ezgo
Hello again, rebuilt my engine complete and re installed and now it purrs like a kitten. Removed the oil injecter and plugged the intake. Mixed up 3 gallon of gas with 3oz of oil per gallon. Would like to thank all who set me in the right direction. Cart has new drive and driven clutch and new belt but still resist on some hills . Any suggestions?

Re: 1988 gas ezgo
First tank should be 3oz per gallon!!! then 128:1 1 oz per gallon. Incress your oil mixture add at least 4oz and don't run it real hard K. Then go to the above
