Default Re: No power up hill

It sounds like I am having the same type of problem. It usually does fine on flat or even on a hill with just me, but add one more person and try to go up any grade at all and its like the thing just wants to bog with no power, and also it sounds like it's stuck in "high gear". Like the engine is barely wanting to turn. My cart is a 96 model with 4 stroke. I have already put a shorter belt on thinking that was my problem but not that. Does this sound like a clutch or engine compression problem?

Generally when the 4-strokes do this it's because the valves are out of adjustment - a fast search on the forum(s) should give you the info you need to adjust them to spec (this seems to be a common issue so you should have no troubles finding the procedure)

I have seen that procedure and have been going to do this but I didn't know that this would be a sign of valves out of adjustment. Will try that this afternoon!
