Re: Yamaha Speed Spring Installed, Still Not Faster???
I find it really strange that you did not get any type of speed increase. I installed a speed spring on mine because I wanted the ability to turn it down when my 8 year old drives the cart. I have a tourque spring and a machined sheeve and was getting crazy bottom end but only 19 mph on top end. After the speed spring I am back up to 26-28 mph depending on the terrain. I would check the carb and make sure it is opening all the way when the pedal is at full throttle.

Re: Yamaha Speed Spring Installed, Still Not Faster???
Think thats a good idea Caj. But you also have bigger rear tires, so that helps, but, man, not seeing anything is wierd...
I GPSed mine today, 25.7 with me in it and the windshield up. 22.5 with me and the wife, windshield floded down. thats on a gravel driveway... prety flat... averaged out and back tops to get these numbers. |
