97 TXT Performance Upgrades ?
My old Ezgo is getting tired and the motor will be rebuilt this winter. What are some good performance upgrades to do that will still be budget friendly and reliable? Over size piston for sure but what else? Is the stock carb OK? It is a campground cruiser so it needs to stay quite also. I already have the 28* clutch also. What else can be done to the motor fairly cheap?

Depending on your budget, you may just want to consider a BB, there is more options available, and from what I hear it is well worth it.

My budget aint that high. I have a guy that will rebuild the motor for around $600 depending on what parts I want to upgrade.

I understand that, you may want to watch craigslist, you may find a used one in good condition.

Re: 97 TXT Performance Upgrades ?
if you have a 295 eng than get a 350 engine.
you can also put a 295 head on a 350 block. that will add power. but not alot. |

Re: 97 TXT Performance Upgrades ?
How easy can you make the 295 a 350? Is it just boring and pistons?
