Whoa, hang on a minute... what is this business with the drive clutch for torque?

EZGO O.E.M. Drive clutches can be adjusted for more low-end torque. Normally the drive clutch grabs the belt at around 1200rpm and starts moving the cart. The clutch can be adjusted so that the rpms are up around 15-1800rpm which puts the engine closer to it's most efficient torque curve before it starts moving thus allowing you to take off on steep hills with heavy loads. You do not lose any top speed, but the engine will be at a higher rpm to achieve the same top speed. The Robin engine can run all day at 5200rpm and live. I have mine max out at 4,500rpm on acceleration, and the governor calms it down to 3,800rpm which is around 15-18 mph

I've had Utility Vehicles that couldn't pull what my cart does. Granted they were much faster top end but I'd rather be able to tow then go fast. And it looks cool to tow a 4k pound dump trailer with a golf cart

No, sorry.....it has a locked up 9 HP tecumpsa and is missing the trans. I found the original builders of these Max buggies at recreative industries and have had many conversations with them. Sent them a bunch of pics of everything inside and out. They quoted me between 2300 and 2800 bucks for everything to do complete Resto....... this includes a new rebuilt warentied T-20 skid tranny, 18 HP electric start Honda clone......all new chains, guides, cables, gauges and Electrics........and said she'd be worth 5000-7000 on new rubber

Its a down the road project, but I'd trade her for something if it came up

I've got a daughter in Houston .....you can have that heat lol

Seems like an interesting project, what's the chance of getting pictures? Did it have the T-20 Transmission in it?

Just an update on the rebuild. Haven't had much time to work on it, got some small stuff painted and put the final color on the frame.

Being that I'm moving I'm going to just put the original suspension of for now so it will roll. Later, at the new place I'm going to air bag it.
