I know those cheap sparklers are tempting but for a long day in the woods gas is best.
and now the rocks start flying.
Yep, I remember you and a few other guys telling me that when I first joined. Thanks for the advice.

And so the hunt continues. . .

One thing i have learned over the years and projects is to listen to veterans of the sport or whatever is in question. I am going to look for a gas project. might have to spend a little more initially, but it is what it is i guess

Theres a clutch on it. It looks like a max-torque style shoe clutch mounted on the engine.

In FL, you'd think there'd be TONS of carts either gas or electric everywhere! Don't give up on the search for a gas one. I had a EZGO electric first then waited and looked to find a gas model. One will show up!

There are plenty of electric carts, it's the gassers that are hard to come by for a decent price.

Joe, have you seen this green one in person? you said you have been looking. this guy is close to me and i wonder if this would be a decent way to start or if i should just keep looking. the fact that someone said 6.5 is small makes me wonder what size i should be looking for. 10hp?

Yea, I saw it a week or so ago. I personally wouldn't be too worried about the engine because it could be upgraded. I would be more worried about the axle drive not being set up for the engine, that would void reverse from what I read. Which could be solved by getting a axle from a cart set up for 4 cycle. I guess basically it would be pretty close to doing a electric to gas conversion the right way. Every time I see posts on craigslist I have to fight myself from buying a cheap not working electric cart and doing the conversion to big block but I beat the urge by hopping on the forum and reading some builds.
