Default Gas Yamaha G1 won't run

My 1983 G1 gas Yamaha was running great the other day. Two days later nothing. When key is turned into the reverse position it is supposed to buzz.. There is nothing. I did replace the ignition switch. Still nothing. Any suggestions. I am not much of a mechanic, but handy when given instructions.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

So when you say "there is nothing" I'm going to assume that you really mean "nothing". First check your battery and make sure it's charged up and in good condition, take it to your local parts store and have them check it. Check all your connections to the battery, clean them as needed. Check every wire on the cart for loose connections, frayed or broken wires, and burned wires. Repair as needed.

Once you get there let us know.

Had the same thing happen to mine, make sure you have a power wire coming off the main harness to the battery. Sounds dumb but that's what it ended up being on mine. I was installing new lights and cut a wire i thought was the power wire for the old lights. A little 12g wire ended up being the power for the whole cart. guess you'll have that
