Angry now what

91 2cycle,took the s/g out,cleaned the terminals,made a few new cables,fully charged batt.go to start and all it does is click the solenoid.free spins by hand and when I installed it this time it spun once with the key on and now just clicks.i don't have much hair left but i'm ready to pull it out.help

Use a set of battery cables from a good batt direct to the terminals on the s/g. but make sure to have the s/g braced some how so it don't take off

i belive its the rear is neg and side are poss but not sure with out looking at mine

ok,so the s/g is out of the cart,checked the grounds and cleaned them up,what I need to know is what terminals do I hook the jumper cables to to bench test the s/g,thanks

Just traced the wires on mine the terminals on the rear of the s/g are both positive only hook up one the terminals on the side closest to the rear terminal is the corresponding negative one way runs it for forward the other for reverse so of check both
