I am a new owner of a 97 g16 gas and brand new to forum so thanks for any help, advice or sarcasm in advance. its all appreciated
I am trying to decide how much and what lift to put on cart , it will mostly be a campground queen and never see any sand dunes, mud bog or anything less than a dirt road I was originally going to go 6" with a jakes kit but now not sure I need that much ? please any suggestions will be appreciated thanks |

Re: help with lift g16
Although I'm a guy, and guys like things lifted as high as possible.....you really don't need a 6" lift for a campground. Especially if you drink. 6" makes climbing in and out of the cart a bit rough! I'd suggest just doing a 3" lift. This will let you clear ruts without bottoming out the cart.

Re: help with lift g16
I made my own 2" lift as I hung up on the trailgate of my pickup loading it to take it to our RV park.

I like 3" with 20" tires. If you have or plan on a rear seat, it is difficult for people to step up.

Re: help with lift g16
i think I am going to go with a 4" lift so its not to crazy and you don't need a ladder to get into back seat, if I was going to go over anything rougher than a dirt road then I would do 6"

Re: help with lift g16
The biggest thing is ground-clearance.My 5"-kit with 22"s puts the floor at about 15" off the ground. If you are a Campground or neighborhood cruiser, then the 3" and 20" tires will be great,If you are off-roading,5" and 22"s are a better option. The Yamaha axles hang down and you get hung up easily,or even damage the Trans-axle case(done it).I'm not pushing my product,I'm not like that, but I have the only 3" G16 kit availiable, thanks to some input from CraigTn and Essness.
