81 Marathon gas cap/fuel gage
My gas cap/gauge is about 8 1/2" long. I had purchased one on line (only one I found) and it was 11 1/4". I dont see any other ones shorter. Any suggestions?

Re: 81 Marathon gas cap/fuel gage
OK, according to vintage golf carts, this short gauge is not available. I will purchase one made for a lawnmower with the same depth tank. If I find one that works well I will post up the info.

Re: 81 Marathon gas cap/fuel gage
I did a little research, and found a company named Stens. Their numbering system doesn't follow any set pattern. I thought the last numbers would convert to millimeters, but they don't.
They all list inside diameter, and tank depth except the last one. Stens 125-120 2" x 9" Stens 125-153 1.5" x 7 7/8" Stens 125-112 2" x 7" Stens 125-280 2" x 10 5/8" overall If the cap diameter is right, I think I would go for the 125-120. |
