Default diagnosis no go

Hey guys I think I fried my cart.. Ezgo series d+d motor and 480 36v controller its 98 or so txt...

I was doing a little heavy towing with my cart this fall and thought it was too much so I disconnected and parked the cart I went t move it the other day and she is a no go. the solenoid clicks I have power from the battery pack to the controller. I am about to go back out and look it over again. It's a very sad day when your cart doesn't go

Search many of the forums, you'll find step by step troubleshooting, wiring diagrams, etc. If you drove it in & parked it, I doubt that something bad happened while it sat.

Since it ran when you parked it, it's probably just a corroded connection somewhere…

it got very hot while I was towing with it I hope I just fried a wire somewhere. I was following the diagnosis sheet and got up to where it says to test from b+ to m- and if I am doing it right I am not getting any voltage when the peddle is pressed, It looked like it tried to flicker up to full voltage and then went back to 0. I'm gonna go out and look around with a flash light to see deep down in the f-r switch connections... hope its something as simple as fixing a wire. I went through the diagnosis procedure hear on the site with no luck.... after it says take off the orange wire and see if voltage is present it doesn't tell you what to do if it isn't

When the solenoid clicks there should be battery pack voltage between B- and M minus. As you depress the peddle that voltage should drop to near zero. This test concludes that the controller is operating.

it seems like I have voltage there even with the key off and solenoid not engaged. I'm not sure but that doesn't seem norml. The next place I am heading is to the motor....

Got power going through to 4 posts on top of the motor??? Is it possible I burnt out the motor when it got heated during tow?

You're probably reading voltage passing through the solenoid's resistor. I would think that you would smell it if the motor cooked. Try tapping on it with a block of wood and a hammer. The brushes could have gotten stuck away from the armature when it cooled off. Tap gently where the terminals are.
