Re: My Marathon project.
Might work, if you have a long enough bit. Let us know.

Get one of these and try to get the screws out first. You'll probably find plenty of uses for it on that cart.. |

Re: My Marathon project.
Now, that's pretty interesting. How does that work exactly?

Re: My Marathon project.
When you smack it with a hammer, it holds tight against the screw. The inside is on a helix that twists at the same time.

Re: My Marathon project.
Today is a sad day... Took the wife and kid riding on the cart today and while we were out it died on us. After pushing it back home I find it has lost all compression and there is a lot of play in the crankshaft. Debating on rebuilding our selling it. What are my options as far as putting a clone in this cart?

Re: My Marathon project.
What was your compression before it died? Could be just the crank seals completely gone. A rebuild isn't bad if your handy. A clone or big block is tough because of the rear end. You wouldn't have reverse with out swapping the rear for a early 90's cart.

Re: My Marathon project.
I never actually took a compression reading, it's just a lot easier to turn over by hand than it was when i first got it. I'm going to buy a compression gauge tomorrow and test it to be sure. I will probably rebuild the engine, is there anything else i should do while i have the engine out?
