Default Are ec25-2pg motors good for lifted cart or should i go electric

How powerful is 2pg two stroke engine in 88 marathon.
Got electric 93 marathon with 48v on 300amp controller. I got 25" tires
On 12" rims about 8" lift. Electric is stalling on hills I'm thinking I need amperage or
New batteries. A buddy's got 88 marathon gas with 2pg engine I was thinking bout buy-in
And making my cart gas I am fabricator by trade so I know I could
Swap it. Are these two strokes weak or could I ride with big tires
On hilly terrain. My electric don't like hills no more.

I used to have an electric cart and would never go back to one. I now have a 91 marathon with the 3pg total lifted cart and love it. No more leaking batteries and no more running out of power. They sip gas also.
My view on the subject.

You could get a clone motor and drop it in. I used the small one, 212cc and it does everything I ask it to. Most go for the bigger clones, 390cc, 420cc or 440cc. The 440cc is from one of our sponsors and has a ton of performance upgrades already built in.

I bought a $25 muffler online and I am happy. It is not anywhere near as bad as a dirt bike or lawn mower, but still louder than my car.

Mine is very low in noise level but of course not like an electric but then I can go down trails and drive all over without worrying about a battery going low and really they are not at all bad in sound. They could be twice as loud and I would still stay with a gaser.
