Default Advice on lift and tires

Hello all. I am new to the golf cart scene and have some questions regarding lift
kits/tires and rims. I picked up a 2002 txt gas cart from a friend of a friend who could not get it to run. It ended up being that the valves were way out of adjustment. Along with new fuel and filter as well as plugs it now runs great. I was originally planning on getting it running to make a quick buck but instead I'm hooked!! I want to lift it and put on tires and rims. I would like a 3 or 4 inch lift and maybe 22 inch tires. My local dealer said to only use the ez go 2 inch and 18 inch tires. I dont see the point of that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

5" drop axle lift and 22-23" tires is probably the most popular combo for Ezgo's.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any one in particular that you would recommend or maybe what to stay away from. Also I am having a hard time understanding what offset to get on the wheels.

I'd personally go with any 5 inch drop axle lift, while others on here will try to steer you towards Jakes or all sports. As far as offset I would go with 3+4 or 2+5. The second will stick out the furthest but it also helps in widening the stance so you dont tip over. I would definitely recommend fender flares with either of those, especially if you're going to be out in the mud!
