97 Gas EZGo Won't start
For whatever its worth, here are the list of problems ( with answers for my cart ! ) that way be worth noting, & Thanks to all that have gave useful comments...
LOOSE CARBURETOR - loss of compression - Check & retighten RUSTED CONTACTS - loss of 12v - Open contacts, scrape / remove crust / WD40 SIGNAL GENERATOR LOW/NO OUTPUT - 1st tried replacing brushes ( worked 4 me!) DISTRIBUTOR COIL - low Ohms on primary or secondary or no continuity - replaced Distributor Coil BATTERY FADES to low voltage when starting ( less than 12 mos old) - loose belt prevented motor to spin & eventually weakened Battery from many restart attempts - Tightened belt, jump started with another battery; After starting, the alternator ( didn't know it had one!) recharged battery; After running the battery faded from 14v down to 12v & stabilized ( lucky me!)... This is not the end, but maybe someone can benefit from this ? Again, thanks to all that have commented to this beginner...josephBus1 |
