no power
Yamaha gas 1983 runs fine when wheels jacked up and off ground, when wheels on ground no power, does not move.

Re: no power
Check to see if the exhaust linkage at the front of the engine is hooked up and the "flapper" valve is moving freely. You can also take the muffler off and weigh it. Brand new is about 21 lbs, if full of oil and carbon it can weigh over 25 lbs. There's a "sticky" at the top of the yamaha gas forum that explains how to "barbeque" it. Just a couple of things to look for.
