That's some good info teecro. After I started this thread I checked into what cart I have using an online decoder. As it looks I have the I2 excel, now since I'm new to carts and more knowledgeable working on a motorcycle than something of this nature I wonder if the magnetic wheel actually is working on my cart? I read a few threads last night and it looks like it does not? Build date is Dec 2010. The dealer threw the wheel in to sweeten the deal but now I'm wondering if it is even working and the dealer doesn't know s**t.

Well from what little I know your dealer does not know $h!t... LOL

My cart is an 2011 Excel with a serial # starting in PH and from what I've gleaned from this site and other readings is that Excel carts don't get nothing from a speed magnet as the OBC also counts something else besides just magnet pulse.

Note that a SC5 programmer will not work for ya either; I read that they are working on a SC5E programmer but it is not yet for sale.

Excel owners wanting more power, speed and torque must go by way of spending more $$$ this being either a Plum Quick Bandit motor etc, or an AMD 7144 speed/torque motor this seems to also require an upgraded controller too as well as larger 4 or 2 gauge cables....

Speed Codes for Excel:
Speed Setting 1 = 8 MPH
Speed Setting 2 = 11.4 MPH
Speed Setting 3 = 14.8 MPH
Speed Setting 4 = 19.2 MPH (Private Code)
