Make sure the batteries are not over full.

First off stop bouncing around and asking the same question in old posts... Give us some some clear details on the issues your dealing with. Such as the age and model number of your cart, how long have you owned it and how old are the batteries etc... Does the charger shut off at the end of the charging cycle? Are the batteries bulged are they over filled with water etc...

He can eliminate the OBC if he gets a smart charger like a DPI accusense.

The OBC does all of the charging "logic", the external box is just a power supply.

Was it over 16 hours? The first few charges after a successful OBC reset will take longer as the OBC tries to get a "baseline" of the battery pack.

Also, ask him to get the individual battery voltages when the charger is still running in the morning, he may have one or more weak batteries that will prevent or severely increase the time it takes the pack to reach shutoff voltage.

A weak battery will also cause the good batteries to "gas out" more as they overcharge while the weak ones slowly increase their voltage.

This is the first time the charger was still running in the morning since the first reset 5 days ago. the 4 12v batteries were just bought about a month ago but I will get him to check the voltages to see if he doesn't happen to have a bad one.

Thanks
Rob

Like I said, just trying to see if the original poster is following the thread and ever found a solution or found out what happened. Anyways, 06 Club Car Precedent. I've had it for about 2 months mostly parked a fuse in a couple parades. Not sure on the battery age. Previous owner didn't know.
