I know you did 👍.
Just seems odd to let something charge for so long when it's pretty much done in a few hours.

It is not done. The charger is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

Plug it in. Don't UNPLUG it. If you do it pretty much starts the cycle over. Leave it alone.

It starts with higher amperage, lower voltage. As it goes through the cycle the voltage increases and amperage decreases. Let it do its job.

If after 16 hours or so it does not cut off you may have a problem.

Leave it alone.

One question I haven't seen asked. After a few hours does you amp meter drop back to about 5 amps or does it stay at 17 amps. As long as it isn't vigorously bubbling everything is ok. When it gets to splashing acid out on the battery tops then you need to worry.

He said in his first post it goes down to 6, but he keeps unplugging it.

You're right..
I had the CC for 3 months now and didnt know if I could trust the charger.
I guess I come from the old school thinking that you shouldnt charge any more than needed. As I said a few posts back it charged to 62.4 volts in 3 hrs and then sat there at the same voltage for an additional 5 hours without changing. In my mind I'd think that was charged as much as it's going to charge and "should" shut off.
Again what's new to me is how the charger and OBC needs to work together.
Still didn't get a chance to fully try this yet as I been using it too often in between.

Again guys thank you for all your patience with me. As I too hate to drag something out so simple out so long..

Update :Left the charger on overnight and it did shut off at almost exactly the 12 hour mark. I was actually standing there.😲
"BUT within 3-4 minutes it turned back on by itself" .(It may have have done this thru out the night IDK) So I left it go for now. I never unplugged it and reinserted or nothing.!
I did check voltage at this point and was reading 63.4. It did go to 6 amps right away on the meter. So it didn't start recharging at a higher ampage .

Want to hear back from you guys before I do anything else. It's still plugged in and charging.

I thought I read somewhere that when they shut off they won't restart on their own.???

Thanks again guys Bill

As it stands I haven't touched anything. Really don't want to go thru this to often...

Seems everything working normal to me. As long as nothing is getting extremely hot. I think on future charges that you will not see the long charging times (although if batteries are run down to 50% SOC, you may). I keep mine on charger when not riding.
