Default 3 pin round charge receptacle wiring 48v

So i am changing the charge receptacle on my 92 DS solid state upgrade and 48 volt conversion project. The charger that I traded my 36 volt charger for has a 3 pin round plug and my old charger was a crow foot. instead of digging into the charger to change the cord and plug i felt it easier to change out the charge receptacle on the cart.

My issue is the new charge receptacle i ordered came with no install instructions. It has one positive (red) wire, one black that goes to small post like a jumper and then there is a gray wire with a inline fuse with yellow cover. I'm pretty sure the red goes to the positive on the main pack and the black will go to the negative on the main pack but where do I put the third gray one with the inline fuse?

i do not of course have a OBC which im guessing this must be for.

As I said in the other thread where you posted this the charger you have may only work with an onboard computer. Post up some charger pics and info.

you can bypass all of the controls by putting that 3rd wire to (-)
But keep in mind you will have no overcharge protection.
You can buy a standalone battery control module, but ask yourself
if this is even worth it when you can buy a new charger that will do all of this,
be safer and sell your 3 wire one for almost as much.

PM me if you want to sell the 36v charger

Scotty I didn't see your other comment until after i posted this. the charger I got doesn't have a name on it but it is a automatic charger (allegedly) for 48 volt and 15amp. It looks pretty generic. i ordered it on amazon but didn't pay attention to the name just that it was 48 volt 15 amp automatic charger. I don't have any pics at the moment and will get to that soon. It does have an on off switch and a digital display window.

Morvolts that is what i was thinking but I may just have to break down and find one with the crow foot on it already if I don't get it to work.

Thanks to you both for the input and guidance.

The Modz Max48 I have has the 3rd pin jumpered to the black inside the standard DS plug.
I deleted the OBC so the 3rd pin is not used from the cart receptacle.
I capped the gray wire off at the receptacle.

So I took some pics and the charger plug is only 2 wires (red and black) the third pin isn’t even wired. So the problem doesn’t seem to be a issue anymore as long as the charger is automatic as stated. The gray wire is just there and doesn’t need to be wired anywhere.

Just to clarify. The gray wire on the charging receptacle is just there and doesn’t need to be wired up.
