Would it hurt to just weld motor mounts solid ?????????????????

you probably could but i bought 4 new from ebay for 20 plus shipping. With my new bb i wanted to make it smooth.

I usually remove the front motor mounts on my G9's and make one solid mount from a piece of steel. Just drill 4 holes in the plate and use the existing motor mount holes. Will add a tad more torque keeping the engine from moving back. I've done this for the past 2 years without any problems myself.

i did what sprid did but isolated the engine with rubber pucks to stop vibration, the old mounts and the engine ten. tower on my g9 fell apart, after all the twikking the motor has been through. i can post pics if you like

How about some later model Yami cushins or like CPP's Clubcar cushions for the Bigblock kits? I have to admit, the stock Yami's are pretty soft.

they are, they let the engine move to mutch i think
