Default Did I screw something up!!!!

Well I installed to night my Yamaha Torque Kit and it wasn't that hard but I was exceptions way more. There is no way it has 50% more torque. I thought I followed the instructions well but man I hope I screwed up some where. Any help would be very appreciated,
Thanks
Nick

I don't see in ANY WAY that a $40.00 part will increase a performance gain by 50%! There are too many factors in clutching on a gas cart that effect performance. Worn out clutches are probably your problem.

depends also if you have biger tires like 22 or 23 It will make up for the loss of torque lost when puting on the tires

Did you get a new belt when you purchased the kit?

You would be suprised how big of a difference the belt can make. They reccomend you purchase a new belt with the kit I would say get one and that should help it...

I didnt have a big increase of tourqe but on my g16 it prevented the belt from slipping and really help going up steep hills and over ruts ect...

G-2's were built from 1985 to 1991. I'll bet instead of spending time and money on parts for your old clutches, you better plan on getting new ones. A new belt is a must!

Can I ask were you purchased the "spring kit" from ? I have found "knock off" springs are "to stiff" and only make your engine "rev" higher to do the job. Nice work on your project. Thanks for your post on the coil replacements for your rear shocks. I beleive they were designed for G14 and up, not G8's. Way to make them "work"! I am in the process of starting a "build" on a G8 (kind of a forgotten child)...We'll see what transforms. Good luck and thanks for your posts. Later Dave
