New Controller, new OBC NO go!!!!
HI, 1st post, I have a 1999 CC DS 48V. Batteries are a year old and have never run. new F/R switch, new GE series 700 Controller, new OBC. I charges the batteries to over 30 v and still cannot get the cart to do anything. It wont charge, go any where etc. I have checked all wiring and it is correct. I have tested all switches and solenoid . NOTHING. Thank you for any help...

Re: New Controller, new OBC NO go!!!!
Sorry, I'm not following. Did you say the final voltage after charging is over 30V? If correct, that is your problem.

to BGW
If you really meant 30v, that is a definite problem. A 48v pack should be around 51v when fully charged... |

Re: New Controller, new OBC NO go!!!!
When charging try the obc bypass but first try resetting the obc. You can find this in the stickies. At 30v you are at the cutoff voltage of controller and after rest you are below cutoff. U need to get good batts or charger or charger cycling

Re: New Controller, new OBC NO go!!!!
Thank you for the replies. I can not get the Cart charger to come on. So I charged the batteries with a standard battery charger. However I can not get my standard charger to charge any of the batteries over 7.5 volts. So when I test the whole pack I am at 30-33 V total.
Guess I will try a different battery Charger. Wen the cart is " dead " What should that Voltage read? |

Re: New Controller, new OBC NO go!!!!
Something is wrong here 7.5 x 6 = 45 not 30 volts... Check all connections are + to -

Re: New Controller, new OBC NO go!!!!
Thank you Teecro,
I as well was baffled by the math. all my connections are right. I do have my first positive and Last negative disconnected. I wanted to make sure that I did not have any drain on the batteries while I was charging as I can not get a full charge. I will check back after I get another charger on it. |

Your batteries won't charge with the cables disconnected.
