I got the dpi and its very easy to keep the batteries charged. I wish i hadvthe 36 one for my yami but considering making it a 48v so keeping the lester for it. I dont get four algorithims it came locked since i dont have the obc.

Do you have a little black plastic door on the front with 2 screws? There is a set of jumpers behind that little cover that sets the various algorithms.

Is the only value of an aftermarket charger over the factory PowerDrive the fact that they'll Float Charge?

Other advantages include 5 stage charging. More complete than 3 stage charging.

The DPI has 4 adjustable charging algorithms to better accommodate the specific charging requirements of various brands... I have Crown batteries and they require a different charge profile than Trojans and US Battery is different still...
