Default 2003 DS Takes off slowly

I recently got a 2003 DS. The guy that had it before me did upgrade the motor and controller. It goes 25mph with 2 adults on it. I noticed it takes off slowly. I really don't need to take off fast. Curious really. I just read another post where the guy said his almost pops a wheelie. What makes it take off quicker?

There are an infinite number of motor / controller combinations that make these carts behave differently. The other cart has a different combination than your cart.

The programming of the controller determines the speed on take-off...partially because most golf carts if used on the golf course don't want to tear-up the grass on start-up.

Thanks guys. Making sure something isn't wrong or going wrong. Im not in a rush so there is no need to take off quick anyway.

Good point. Even with some of the most powerful controllers, the throttle can be programmed for a slow takeoff to keep from tearing up the turf or breaking your neck.
