92 Club Car 36v troubleshooting
Hi all,
I am working on a 92 ds 36v. I suspect that the motor has gone. I would like to find the troubleshooting procedure for: 1.) Solenoid ( I think I have it correct but want to make sure, I have pack voltage when the solenoid is engaged with the load side detached and the resistor off) 2.) Controller ( Not sure if this model is computer controlled, it is a v-glide I believe. it has the black box with the sweeper arm.) 3.) Motor ( since the cart quit, i get the solenoid to click and it sounds/feels like the computer is turning on.....yes, I can "feel" the computer, its weird i know but some people will know what I mean. Any help with this would be great. I have searched quite a bit and have found procedures for other models but not mine specifically. I just want to be sure before having the customer buy a new motor. Thanks |

Re: 92 Club Car 36v troubleshooting
Chances of the cart needing a complete new motor is slim anyway. Might need rebuilt and that will save your customer a bunch of money and show that you know what your doing by not just selling him a high ticket item.
Did you check the motor by any chance since you think it is the motor? |

That is what I'm asking for. How do I check the motor?

Re: 92 Club Car 36v troubleshooting
Just check continuity from A1 to A2 and F1 to F2, if you do, chances are good motor is OK
Worst case, just pull the motor out and look at it- motors are easy to tell if they are good or not. |

Re: 92 Club Car 36v troubleshooting
More details - motor test. The 36 volt is a SERIES motor. You need to disconnect the cables from the motor.
There should be continuity between A1 & A2, and between S1 & S2. You should have no continuity from A1 to the motor body, or S1 to the motor body, or between A1 and S1. |
